San Miguel Library
The library has a wide selection of books, books-on-tape and CDs, music CDs, VHS videos and DVDs, magazines, paperbacks, and a charming children's area.
Judy, our librarian, has an online blog to keep residents current with library events and hours of operation.
Come and visit your local library, next to the baseball diamond, on 13th St. Open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 4 PM.

The Camp Roberts
Historical Museum
Camp Roberts Historical Museum
Open Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE. Located on Camp Roberts, the museum is a nonprofit group dedicated to the preservation of the history of Camp Roberts and to the soldiers that trained there. People interested in supporting the museum, as a volunteer or through donations, are encouraged to stop in at the museum or call (805) 238-8288 or 237-0819 for more information. Friday, 2nd San Miguel Lions Club hosts a chicken BBQ dinner with all the trimmings from 5 to 7:30 pm at the San Miguel Community Center for $8 each. Proceeds benefit free swimming and various charity programs by the Lions.
Saturday, 3rd
Camp Roberts Open House and BBQ! Top Sirloin BBQ for $8 and hot dog dinners for $3 donation. Great raffle prizes to win with proceeds to benefit the San Miguel Resource Connection. Military displays, Jacob's Ladder Band with live music, museum displays and lots more!! Valid driver's license and car insurance required to get on base. Public is welcome with FREE Admission! Central Coast Stage Robbers Cowboy Mounted Shooting Club present "Shoot the Moon Shootout Two!" at the Adobe Veterinary Hospital at 7625 Estrella Rd in San Miguel. This is a 6 stage two day Double Points WPQ match. Dry camping on site, water is available. Saturday sign-ups begin at 8 am. The 1st stage begins at 10 am. The public is welcome. Pleasant Valley Elementary School is hosting a Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair on May 19th to May 21st from 8:00 to 8:25 am and 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
On May 22 from 5:00 to 6:15 pm the Book Fair will be open before the Annual Science Olympics and Open House with a Trip Tip Sandwich BBQ sponsored by PASE (Parents Actively Supporting Education).
The Buy One Get One Free Book Fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including children's classics, interactive software, adult books and bestsellers.
