The Estrella Warbirds opened the parade with a flyover by three of their vintage military planes. The crowd below waved and cheered.

The local veterans traditionally lead the parade each year. Dean Smith and Mary Kalvans announced the parade entries as they filed past the announcer's stand. This year the onlookers enjoyed 2 blocks of new sidewalks and benches.

Camp Roberts soldiers carried the colorguard flags and drove the large military vehicles as residents cheered our war heroes.
