Veterans colorguard leads the parade. Photo by Pres Meyers
The local veterans traditionally lead the parade each year in a military color guard. Dean and Sheri Smith announced the parade entries as they filed past the announcer's stand, not once but twice! Spectators enjoy seeing the parade both going and coming back along the parade route of Mission street. Parade participants get to see who else is in the parade as well. Ruth Elvin was inspired to write a poem, "Twice Down Main Street."
