Teacher of Excellence |

Photo courtesy of Paso Robles Press |
Lillian Larsen School teacher, Christina Wilkinson, has been named Teacher of Excellence for Special Education 2007 by the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (CFAITC). Wilkinson teaches special education for 6th to 8th grade students as well as a 7th grade life science and agriculture science class. She has overseen the planting and care of the school garden and incorporates it as an outdoor classroom into all her lessons. |
Wilkinson will receive an expense paid trip to the Ag in the Classroom Symposium at Asilomar in Pacific Grove, as well as the California Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Meeting in Sparks, Nev., both later this year. Wilkinson said, “I feel it gives the students, especially the special education students, a lot of self esteem and pride for the products they produce. It also helps them take a leadership role.” Read complete details with a great photo of Christina Wilkinson in the Paso Robles Press. Congratulations Ms Wilkinson! |
