The San Miguel Advisory Council held it’s annual electionon June 25th. The election was monitored by The League of Women Voters with a low turn out present for the voting.
The result of the vote was as follows: The top vote getter was Craig Rambo, followed by Anthony “Bear” Kalvans and Mike Sanders. Sharon Brower and Noel Carpenter tied for the low votes, making them alternates. Mr. Carpenter had been the vice-chairman and Ms. Brower had been the secretary.
After the public meeting the Council met to determine the new make up of the group. Craig Rambo accepted the position of Chairman, Denis Degher as Vice-Chairman, new electee Anthony Kalvans will be the Secretary,Tom Banish will remain as Treasurer, Jean Hoffmann as Historian and Gary Davis will be Member-at–Large, the position held by Denis Degher this past year.
The position of alternate, requires that Ms. Brower and Mr. Carpenter attend meetings and in the event of an absence of a full member sit on the Council to maintain a quorum. Unless they are covering for an absent member they do not have voting privileges. The new officers will be seated at the July meeting. - story submitted by Sharon Brower
